SAN DIEGO, CA – The University of San Diego Athletics Department and LiveSource, LLC, a San Diego based start-up, are pleased to announce a new partnership.  USD is partnering with LiveSource to utilize their in-the-moment mobile auction platform during sporting and fundraising events.

USD will be using the LiveSource mobile app and website to offer their fans opportunities for unique memorabilia and fan experiences during men’s and women’s games beginning this season. Fans in attendance and at home will be able to bid on and win unique game-related gear during sporting events like never before. Fans also will be given opportunities to bid and win VIP experiences that they can cash in that night during the event – from throwing out the first pitch during a baseball game to taking a half-court shot during halftime. USD fans are in for some added excitement. In addition to offering at-event auctions and raffles, USD will also utilize the LiveSource platform for various fundraising events and drives, benefitting an array of charitable and USD endeavors.

“We are continuously evaluating options that will help us improve the in-game experience for our constituents,” said Tyler Mariucci, Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Development.  “Partnering with LiveSource will add a new and exciting element during our games, allowing fans of USD Athletics to bid on exclusive items from their phones. Funds raised from this effort will be allocated in its entirety to help provide our student-athletes with a first-class NCAA Division I collegiate experience.”

Founded in 2016 by Scott F. Levin, LiveSource enables partners to surprise and electrify fans with unanticipated opportunities to own unique collectibles and experiences. This unique platform will motivate more USD fans to attend events, increase revenue and create memorable experiences for its supporters. LiveSource partners can react instantly to initiate auctions for the fans while they are most excited – right then and there during the event.  LiveSource auctions will allow USD alumni and fans to support and connect with the University in a fun and exciting way by gaining in-the-moment access to authenticated memorabilia and experiences. By monetizing fan experiences and game memorabilia, LiveSource will create new avenues for quality fundraising that don’t necessitate months of advance planning and preparation. The LiveSource software is simple and easy to use, and it handles the entire sales process from posting to payment to arranging delivery.

“LiveSource is excited to partner with USD to support the University’s charitable initiatives,” said Scott Levin. “USD is a world-class institution with world-class leadership and staff throughout the athletic department and administration.  USD will be exciting fans by delivering unique auction items during many of their men’s and women’s sporting events, and our passionate team will be supporting them at every turn to make sure this is hugely successful for the University and LiveSource. We couldn’t be more excited to facilitate auctions during an array of USD events; including during the men’s basketball games as Coach Smith has his team poised for a great season!  I think we’ll have USD supporters at the events and from around the world tuned in and bidding at every event where we are present.”
